WHAT IS LINE EDITING, AND WHY DO I NEED IT?
A line edit takes an up-close look at your novel’s voice, readability, flow, and more. This service is often confused with a copy edit, but these services are not the same. A copy edit will address spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc., while a line edit takes a more artistic approach, ensuring your words and sentences achieve what you set out to do and communicate your intentions effectively. The purpose of a line edit is to improve your writing while maintaining your authorial voice.
A line edit should come after a manuscript critique and before a copy edit.
Includes one pass, a style sheet, and an editorial letter. We do not offer line editing services for nonfiction.
