A copy edit addresses and corrects errors in your manuscript, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, usage, and more. We adhere to a style guide, typically The Chicago Manual of Style, and create a unique style sheet for each project. Our dictionary of choice is dependent on the author and their preferences. Our dictionaries include the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the Oxford English Dictionary, and the Oxford Canadian Dictionary.

A copy edit should come after a manuscript critique and line editing and before formatting and proofreading.

We'll make changes to your document directly and will leave comments along the way, both to explain edits and suggest further revision. We use Microsoft Word and Track Changes.
